Founded In 1997, The International Bamboo And Rattan Organization Is The First Intergovernmental International Organization Headquartered In China And The Only International Organization In The World Dedicated To The Sustainable Development Of Bamboo And Rattan. In 2017, It Became An Observer To The United Nations General Assembly. Currently, It Has 49 Member States And 4 Observer States, Widely Distributed In Africa, Asia, America And Oceania. It Is Headquartered In Beijing, China, And Has Offices In Yaoundé, Cameroon, Quito, Ecuador, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, And Addis Ababa, Ghana. In The Era Of Global Response To Climate Change And Plastic Pollution Control, The International Bamboo And Rattan Organization Has Promoted “Bamboo For Plastic” In The Form Of Reports Or Lectures On Multiple Occasions Since April 2019, Exploring The Role Of Bamboo In Solving The Global Plastic Problem And Potential And Prospects For Reducing Pollution Emissions.
