Founded In 1997, The International Bamboo And Rattan Organization Is The First Intergovernmental International Organization Headquartered In China And The Only International Organization In The World Dedicated To The Sustainable Development Of Bamboo And Rattan. In 2017, It Became An Observer To The United Nations General Assembly. Currently, It Has 49 Member States And 4 Observer States, Widely Distributed In Africa, Asia, America And Oceania. It Is Headquartered In Beijing, China, And Has Offices In Yaoundé, Cameroon, Quito, Ecuador, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, And Addis Ababa, Ghana. There Are 5 Regional Offices In Karachi And New Delhi, India.
Over The Past 25 Years, Inbar Has Supported Member Countries In Incorporating Bamboo And Rattan Into Sustainable Development Action Plans And Green Economic Development Strategies, And Has Accelerated The Sustainable Utilization Of Global Bamboo And Rattan Resources Through A Series Of Pragmatic Measures Such As Promoting Policy Development, Organizing Project Implementation, And Conducting Training And Exchanges. It Has Made Important Contributions To Promoting Poverty Alleviation In Bamboo And Rattan Producing Areas, Prospering The Trade Of Bamboo And Rattan Products, And Addressing Climate Change. It Is Playing An Increasingly Important Role In Major International Cooperation Such As Global South-South Cooperation, North-South Dialogue, And The “One Belt, One Road” Initiative. .
In The Era Of Global Response To Climate Change And Plastic Pollution Control, The International Bamboo And Rattan Organization Has Promoted “Bamboo For Plastic” In The Form Of Reports Or Lectures On Multiple Occasions Since April 2019, Exploring The Role Of Bamboo In Solving The Global Plastic Problem And Potential And Prospects For Reducing Pollution Emissions.
At The End Of December 2020, At The Boao International Plastic Ban Industry Forum, The International Bamboo And Rattan Organization Actively Organized The “Bamboo Replaces Plastic” Exhibition With Partners And Issued Keynote Reports On Issues Such As Reducing Plastic Pollution, Single-Use Plastic Product Management And Alternative Products.
